This build will surprise you!

The architecture of this build was brilliant. Building inverted was a new experience. Don’t know what I mean? You’ll see! Only disappointment I had was with the instructions. I purchased the instructions but later YWOBB sent them to me for free. I was also disappointed that it did not include the flight stick. I made my own wich worked well but it was a big piece of the model for those that watched the show. Very unique. Some missing pieces but I have built so many models that I was able to backfill. All in all very fun and it is a really large model that always impresses once complete. I would advise gluing the stand. Doesn’t quite support the weight of this large build.

Support was very helpful. All the pieces were in the package but I started with the wrong instructions, the designer recently made some revisions. Overall a fun build with good quality pieces!

Colonial Viper MK II (Battlestar Galactica)

The stones are of good quality throughout, even if they seem to come from different manufacturers. There are minimal differences in colour (dark red more obvious than white), but they do not bother me at all. After all, it is a battleship, it should not look "new". Some of the stones have a different colour than in the manual (dark grey instead of black or light grey instead of dark grey), but that doesn't matter most of the time, because the stones are inside. Sometimes the different colors also make the assembly easier. The manual that you buy separately from the Moc maker is of very good quality. It is very easy to build when you look at it on a tablet. At some places you should zoom in. The manual is not for too young children because there are some parts that require some "thinking" or strength (I think 12 years and older should fit). There are many more stones per side than on L**o and sometimes not all stones are completely visible. But if you pay attention and have some experience it is no problem. There is also a parts list for Bricklink in case parts are missing. The delivered windscreen is too small, but that is already mentioned in the description of the article and how to install the small one. The "right" size is available at Bricklink, but it is very expensive (10€ + shipping) if you buy it in trans-black. In trans-blue it costs about 0,50€. At my delivery 3 parts were "wrong": 2 white wedges should have been number 93604, but they were delivered with 45677, it's just a difference in appearance, the correct part costs 1€ each at Bricklink 2 tile modified 88646 were light grey instead of white (replacement ca 0,50€ per piece) With both I don't know if I'll replace them because the difference is minimal and doesn't bother me. But there were more than 130 spare parts (!!!!) all kinds: plates, tiles, plates modified, wedges, slopes, bricks, bricks modified, hinges, hinge plates and others. So it is a good deal to order 3-4 spare parts at your own expense, at Bricklink the bricks for the complete model cost about 220€ plus postage at 6 different dealers! The model is definitely an exhibition piece and not a game model. The construction is varied and makes a lot of fun. Some building techniques are a little bit fragile and become more stable only later with counterparts. Other parts remain a little fragile (flaps, back part) but look awesome. At the beginning the pure number of white stones overwhelms you a bit, because they are only sorted by color. There are many different bags (more than 50 of them, half of them are estimated to be completely white) but in each bag there are many different stones. But especially the collecting of the stones for the next instruction page has given me a lot of pleasure. I recommend not to build the stand at the end. At the latest from page 140 it is more comfortable to be able to store the ship on the foot if you build something separately. The flaps behind which the feet of the ship are, are a bit fragile and fall off from time to time. This is probably easier with the stand. Including the search for stones, it probably took me over 12 hours to build, in several sessions. The stickers make a good impression, but are not pre-cut. But with a paper knife and tweezers they are easy to apply. They have a semi-transparent background and therefore there are no colour differences. These were the first stickers I used partly because I think they enhance the model. Otherwise I omit stickers in principle. The templates are also included in the PDF manual in Photoshop format if you need them again. In Photoshop there are also the stickers for "Husker" William Adama.
